robinson requiem aga and ecs bug

hello

i'am a big fan of robinson requiem and when i was young it was impossible to beat the game on my 600 because it was slow as hell. nowaday i have a apollo 1240 and the two version of rob (the ecs and the ag) and both of them crash nearly at the same area. the game freezes when you are in the first cave. it crashes both on my 040 and my 030.

is it possible to do something in order to reach the end of that very interesting game?

thank you

ok but with that kind of bug the game is unbeatable. on my falcon, the game has the same kind of bug!

also it would be nice to obtain some enhancements on the frame rate of the game

It is a problem of whdload slave it freeze at the same location where the protection check appears. So it is a task for CFOU! or some other whdload member.
Report it and wait for update.

BTW I've tested the game on my Blizzard 030 mkIV and it's very slow: one frame per second

This game was bad cracked by Mok, use original version (4 words from manual) and you can play this game without crash.

This is possible only for very good crackers. Not all crackers like interpreter code to crack.
BTW. Some (most ?) ECS versions of this game has one file (from 3D section) missing, then you must find good version (maybe IPF ?) of ECS version.

Only the AGA version has been preserved yet.

When does the manual protection pop up?

EDIT: Game can probably be cracked without ever touching any of the game code/interpreter code

First time at begining (after the panther (?) to kill), but this game has perhaps more protection checks. Silmarils games has minimal 2 manual checks.
Paradox version is not cracked, Prestige version is bad cracked.

Then he can use my trick, I get missing file from AGA version, and it works.

Well I have an idea where Silmarils can stick as many checksums in the game as they like, but if my idea pays off, it'll be 100% and easy to get past EVERY and ANY protection check
