Adding a CD Drive A1200
Hi all,
Sorry if this question has been asked before but I could not find anything. Right now my 1200 is running a 4 Gig CF HD. I have an amiga kit ACA 1230/28 card on the way to give the machine a bit more kick / RAM. The long term idea is to tower the machine. So I want to add a Cd drive to the machine. I have been told that you can have two ide devices running on the same interface, if that is right then I would need an ide cable that was 2.5 to plug into the motherboard then one connector 2.5 to the CF drive and the other 3.5 to the Cd rom, is this right or I am I missing something. Powering the Cd drive would not be an issue, so the next question is can I use any old drive or does it need to be a set make model, and lastly what about software where is the best place to get that. is it a 2.5" and idefix software with cable with 3 connector is a cd-rom 6x, not dvd and not burning i suppose all ide are ok |
