WinUAE handling of ECS:BPLCON1:DOFF flag

Hi Toni, et al.

Would I be correct in assuming that WinUAE merely logs when the
ECS:BPLCON1OFF flag is set, but takes no other action?

Only reference I could find was in "blitter.c":
.....
if ((bltcon1 & 0x80) && (currprefs.chipset_mask & CSMASK_ECS_AGNUS))
write_log ("warning: ECS BLTCON1 DOFF-bit set\n");
.....

But it doesn't actually appear to turn the "D" channel off?

Have you found any software that actually turns this enable bit off?

Cheers,
Red

None found and it does not switch D-channel off. It "disconnects" Agnus internal D-channel data register, all blitter DMA writes now get "bus noise" (whatever data that was in chip bus previously) written to D-channel's address.

I don't see any practical use for DOFF-bit except for spying bus data without extra hardware
