400kb available on A1200 without startup sequence

I have a 060 board, but disabled it just to test something oin 68020

But to my surprise avail shows:

available chip: 393416
in-use: 1702712 <==== WHAAT

even without startup sequence... I have just a CF card plugged in. Maybe I can reduce the buffers but 1.7MB for the buffers is that normal?

reducing to 10 buffers for DH0:, I can get 700k free...

Each mounted filesystem/partition eats a lot. Try disabling all you don’t need in the early menu. Also say pfs eats way more than ffs.
