ACA500Plus Boot Slot Fail

Gentlemen

For a couple of years I have had the joy of owning an ACA500Plus protruding from the side of my Revision 6 Amiga 500. I have a 4Gb Boot card with WB3.1 installed (I also have a different swappable 2gb WB1.3 boot card). I have a 4gb AUX card too so I can download Octamed mods and DPaint pics from Aminet and copy them over to my Boot cards Work: partition easily, etc. How much joy does that present to me in 2022? I'm deeply saddened because it appears that the boot slot on my ACA500Plus has ceased to work. The cards are fine, they worked fine before, both WB3.1 and WB1.3, they both work fine in FS-UAE, they work fine when I boot from the AUX slot from ACA500Plus, so it would seem that the boot slot on the ACA500Plus has tilted! (Pinball Nightmare). Any insight from this expert community?

I would post on their support forum. They may repair it if you send it to Jens.

Just did that, cross keys friend, hopefully, I won`t be thinking that I must buy an A1200 to get around reliability issues. Which begs the question, do all you 32bit A1200 owners have similar reliability issues with you CF Card installations? I always loved the A500, I always loved my A1200 back in the 90's but ACA500Plus made it all possible on A500 except for AGA. The A500 was such an amazing computer, I'm not entirely sure I want to go with A1200 again.

I noticed others saying that resetting the EEPROM might fix the slot.

Thank you r.cade, this is a very good pointer, unfortunately, I examined my card and can't for the life of me locate JP1! However, I'll keep this one on the backburner. JENS has requested a high rez pic which I've posted, perhaps He'll have some experienced insight that I lack. I'll wait for his feedback. Thanks again.
