I would guess it has something to do with them acquiring Nightdive: https://www.eurogamer.net/atari-ente...htdive-studios

I liked 'Atari' better when they didn't try that hard to go back to their 'glory days' :

Atari's golden age is smack bang in the VCS era, it's too far back to really be meaningful in 2023 for Millennials to make you massive profits IMO.

I don't think that with this acquisition targeted audience are millennials. It is us, because they see profits in nostalgia and we (mostly retrogamers) are one who probably have study job and can afford mini X machines and retro bundles on Steam and most importantly - are willing to purchase to have complete sets etc. At least for now they are not doing Nintendo stuff on retro scene. ST roms are still widely available, which is great for their scene... It sucks to have bloody leaches @ Amiga. |

Hey, if there are one or two titles in there which I like, I'm already happy. Don't think it will have much to do with Nightdive though, they're mostly into revamping FPS stuff so far and I'm going to bet Atari will let them keep doing what they do best. Which is to remaster Thief 1 & 2. Get on it, Nightdive.

Its why the announcement that they've acquired a load of Infogrammes titles is pretty laughable....... they already owned them, as they ARE Infogrammes lol |

I wonder if Atari has enough money to make low end Chrome books or laptops? Would be great to see the logo compete against Apple

Just from OP post, Hardball and F-117A comes to mind. If they ever get the list, we can post it here.
@Galahad/FLT - Not sure that all legal info about IP is clear for some of software developed by 3rd party and/or released under different distributor. Or, can this just mean that they will start Nintendoing retro community? (if they already owned IP) |

Time Extension says, "The complete list sadly isn't available yet — we've sent a message to try and acquire something more complete — but we know that it includes titles from the Bubsy, Hardball, and Demolition Racer series, as well as the 1942: Pacific Air War, F-117A, and F-14 air combat series."

Also I thought that old Microprose catalogue was already property of Infogrames/Atari (as they bought hasbro interactive who bought Microprose earlier)
