sorry this is probably an obvious questions as it says no continues, but does that mean you cant use any retries ? so you only get one chance ?

I think without retries you are not even able to get to a hiscore table? I think in Roadkill retries are consumed automatically, so it is okay?

Yes, they're just lives rather than continues.

Urghh... I'm having no luck at all getting this game started

ADF disk 1 - I can't get past the intro. Yes it says press "Enter" to quit - but pressing Enter does not quit!! Neither does the mouse keys do anything either

So, I tried the WHD version instead... only to get the following error message:

error during 'resload_LoadKick'
invalid kickstart image 'devs:kickstarts/kick40068.a1200'

Can anyone help me please?!!

Don't know if it's allowed but you could try the CD32/AGA version without intro.

Yes, the following files are in System:devs/Kickstarts/

Code:
kick40068.A1200 513 KB 04/05/2006 10:48:36
kick40068.A1200.RTB 5 KB 21/03/2003 22:24:26
and I'm using emulation (WinUAE).

Does using CD32 controller helps on anything if I playing it on Winuae with a 360 controller? How do I fire missiles?

EDIT: Ok, figured out how to configure CD32 controller on WinUae, my button layout now kinda sucks, but I can fire missiles

Don't worry, it sucks even in original CD32 mode. Pressing red for acceleration and pushing green for firing missiles is a pain.

On Winuae, go to INPUT, on top select the controller you are using. You can now remap the buttons below to act like CD32 buttons.

I couldn't map the buttons that are default Amiga buttons 1, 2, 3 on my 360 controller, but I could remap all the other buttons to CD32 buttons. And then I could fire missiles

As I didn't know what button was what, I just mapped everything on anything at any order. I was acellerating on RB and firing with X though. It was weird, but it worked

Now about the game.

After Slam Tilt, did we really had to play another game with JACKPOTs and stuff ?

I really don't like how your car stays on middle of screen all the time, the camera could move a little bit so you could see more ahead. And the way collisions are handled is a *real* pain in the ass, you car just points to a random direction or go nonsense-ly spinning around.

But the very arcade-y feeling is cool, and a racing game with some kind of score system is really something different and fun to try out. I only tried it a couple of times yesterday, no decent score so far, but I can see there are lots of strategies to make more points, but some of them are also risky.
