The best is on Workbench 1.3, copy a few larger files to ram, then copy them one at a time to a blank floppy and listen to it go crazy running the multiple copies at the same time. Not sure if they fixed that in a later OS release.

Hmmm… AFAIK, I don't think there's anything to fix: you asked the computer to do three tasks at the same time, so it tries to do them. It's a different thing to drag all three files to the diskette, system will copy them sequentially, or to do it with DOpus, same thing, but if you ask it to do three different copy tasks, it will try to do exactly what you asked it to do.

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

Tears in my eyes.

I don't have the fondest memories of it to be honest, my diskdrive was uber-loud for some reason. Not bzzzzt but EEEEEEEEHNK. I'm starting to feel more intelligent by the second.

Not sure I agree, the OS should be there to prevent user stupidity, in terms of a slow device like a floppy it should buffer the copy requests and execute them sequentially, ideally with a GUI interface showing the same. I realise that it's more complicated if several applications through user input are trying to access the floppy at the same time(agsin should buffer and notify user that the copy will be slow( but that would be rare but st least the OS should handle it in the most efficient manner.

Fire Force's loading hum is truly unique.
Do you know any other buzzes like this?
