This issue is fixable WHDLoad-wise. Iirc Codetapper fixed some games with exotic Amiga filenames.

Plus i've seen some Mantis bugtracker reports for some "problematic" games too.

I was almost certain he would have replied no. Not really surprising. Zip is fast, convenient and most of the time multiplatform.
But may be the idea will find its way, someday.

As for myself, I think this, and the tooltype not mentioned in the icons information to activate the trainers are the two only real problems of preinstalled as a whole. Other than that : great stuff.

@R-N
You mean recently ?

Codetapper fixed games like Puzznic ages ago. There are indeed some new bugreports for Ultima V, Purple Saturn Day, Super Streetfighter 2 Turbo...

Huh? Unzip them on Amiga and read the 'readme'? That's a problem? Don't get it.

The ReadMe doesn't always mention
Code:
Custom1=1
has to be activated
I had this problem solved a while ago with Baal, Belg explained it to me in simple terms.

@R-N
Ultima V really ?
Gosh, another occasion where Belgarath would save my day. Funny coincidence.

No. If the cheat requires F10 and the default quit key is set to the very same key, this is just silly!
Don't try to tell me the install author didn't know how to activate the cheat - I woudn't buy that story

Then the readme has to be updated. The cheat should be optional not default.

The cheat Andreas is talking about is factory built by the ocean coder.

The exit should be recoded to another key

Ah, I wish I could have access to the SweetCheater database. Anybody heard about the legend of SweetCheater ?

Well, it starts like this, one day Keith Krellwitz from the WHDload team decided to gather all the available cheats in a single document...

make that : the editor's cheat that would work with WHF'yed games
+ those pulled out by the coders themselves

I was not evoking the cheat codes in general.

Try entering sweet + cheater + keith in da whdload.de search box.
This particular list of cheats is not public, AFAIK.

Still the readme should be updated and not the preinstalled version
