Cannon Fodder - Can't save && Is there any level select cheat?

Hello, I've got a stock Amiga 500 recently, 512k OCS and I'm using a memory expansion (slow mem) without a floppy drive. Then, I basically installed a modified Sony MPF920 on it. Then, I've been writing my floppies using tools like ADTWin and Drawbridge and 95% of these games worked fine but Cannon Fodder can't save. Whenever I try to save on it, the floppy drive LED freezes and nothing happens. But the games doesn't crash because the music continues to play. I've tried formatting and saving the disk using the Drawbridge and WinUAE and it works fine. I can even load the same disk on the Amiga, but I simply can't save on it. Does anyone knows what could be this problem? I've tested my modified floppy drive using Amikit Test tool and it seems to be okay but I can give you the results here if needed. Now, maybe I could use cheats to circumvent this problem but I can't find any Level Select cheats online... I've tried to use one that mentioned clicking on load and then holding the mouse buttons at the same time but no dice...
Also, I've tried every version of this game available online except the original .IPF because my PC floppy drives can't write it properly even using Drawbridge (another issue to solve a bit later)
Thanks everyone.

IIRC there was a format option inside the game for making save game disk in Cannon fodder.

Well, I've tried to format it but my original Amiga just hangs and nothing happens.

Well, I've solved my problem. Basically, I was actually using a Sony MPF920-1. Then, I swapped it to a proper MPF920 and now it's working. I'm not sure if that drive revision is actually incompatible or if it was something slightly wrong with my mod.
