Cocolino PS/2 adapter input lag?

Does anyone else hva experience with these Cocolino PS/2 adapters?

Just the other day I was playing a 2 player game of Hired Guns, and there was a very noticeable difference in inputlag between the native Amiga mouse and the PS/2 mouse connected via the Cocolino-adapter.

I have 2 cocolino adapters and I never experienced any input lag. I never played Hired Guns, though.

I never noticed a lag myself either, but I did notice a different response curve, so it could be down to your mouse's individual characteristics rather than the interface.

If your PS/2 mouse has built-in acceleration, that's probably what you're experiencing as lag. Logitech and laptop mice with direct PS/2 interface typically have acceleration.

I recommend circa 2002 Microsoft USB mice that come with a PS/2 adapter, e.g. Wheel Mouse Optical and Explorer series. These also have a flawless sensor (gaming mouse terminology) unlike many mice made 2004-2014. After that almost all gaming mice have flawless sensors, although now you need one where you can set the DPI low enough without software, or the cursor will absolutely fly over the screen, and wrap around 20 times in games for a normal hand movement
