Rather pacifistic games
Hello, some pacifistic people visiting soon and I only have games (and movies gosh!) where beings are murdered or where you actually lead a war. The only exception are sports and racing sims. Are there any suitable artisan Amiga games other than that that are actually peaceful? And not boring like watching paint dry? Games with debatably peaceful content would be maybe enough if they're the best I can get.

Racing games exceptions? Never played Road Rash or Super Cars eh
Puzzle games, especially the arcade style ones. Plotting, Puzznic, Clockwiser, Logical, Block Out, Tiny Skweeks, Chip's Challenge, Sleepwalker, Push Over. Kind of personal what is "boring", if it is passive you tend to cross that threshold quite quickly for many people |

Point'n'click games are for a large part pacifistic.
Puzzle games where you save creatures (lemmings, benefactor). Pinball games. Economic simulations (sim city, theme park). |

The Settlers is actually pretty mellow. I know, you do get to wage war later on but what I remember mostly from playing it is just building stuff.
It's not exatly a party game thou, same with Theme Park or Railroad Tycoon. Come to think of it I'd really struggle to name a "pacifistic" Amiga action game. Even the likes of Rodland or Bubble Bobble have "beings are murdered", so to speak. |

I don't think you can even harm anything (beside temporary disabling robots) in the Impossible Mission games (not in the 2nd opus).
Also i don't remember to clearly but i don't think you kill anything (or just food) either in "Pierre Le Chef is... Out to Lunch". Last edited by hitchhikr; 23 April 2024 at 09:32. |

not entirely loaded with pacifism but look through a video of Bubba and Stix, yeah he whacks "things" with stix and those things often vanish in a puff of smoke but mostly he whacks stuff harmessly....mostly, its more puzzle stuff whacking levers/buttons/etc.
Watch some1 else play and look for what you think is a red flag/nono [ Show youtube player ] |

Pipe Mania is another great abstract puzzler where nobody gets hurt (except the world's water supply getting used up gradually, of course). Most Breakout clones without Arkanoid-style enemies would be fine - Giganoid jumps to mind as a good one. Do you kill anything in Wiz N Liz?

There is ofc all the Valhalla games from Vulkan Software, i dont think there is anything violent in those at all, their 99.9% puzzle/dungeon adventure kind of stuff.
Valhalla and the Lord of Infinity Valhalla: Before the War Valhalla and the Fortress of Eve Vulkan Software also made Hillsea Lido which is a sort of beachside/holiday sim game, that should be 100% safe. They also made TimeKeepers, a puzzle game, but i cant remember if its got violence, i do recall it having lava and "local" people, but i cant remember if you end up doing the murder hobo thing or not. |

I wanted to list the valhalla games... but at least the second one has murder and torture in it. You play as the bad guy after all who progressively becomes more evil.

Cannon Fodder could be a paradoxal choice. The game clearly denounce the absurdity of war.

Quote:
Lost Patrol is a similar case, in that its a violent war-based game intended to criticise the Vietnam war its based on (and war in general, to an extent). The same goes for so many classic Vietnam war films of the era, too. The paradox is that demonstrating violence can actually send a pacifist message about how futile so much war and conflict can be. Off-topic, but - It's striking that as a kid in the 80s UK, I remember that "be nice to older people, they fought in the war for us" mentality. Today, I expect more pensioners campaigned against the Vietnam war than fought in World War II. |

Oh no, no politics! Just stay with clearly inviolent peaceful games please! Cannon Fodder is clearly a violent game and philosophic interpretations on that behalf won't work. I just want obviously peaceful games, no politics, no philosophy to stress that clearly!
Giana Sisters will clearly not work. Bubble Bobble is one of the debatable games like Emerald Mine. At least it's not really war/ massacre. Good joke with Cabal, very funny. I found a game called Technoban, which is a Sokoban clone and that's peaceful. Also Shanghai, a Mahjongg clone should work. |

PP Hammer could be a good choice. You just drill holes, collect treasures and avoid monsters. And maybe Lemmings too. And also the little known puzzle/platformer game called "Bill's Tomato Game" comes to mind.
