Filter Settings (16:9, 16:10, 15:9) inverted?
Hello guys, don´t know if this is normal, but in general if you choose one of the settings from the heading, those settings seem to be inverted. 4:3 and 5:4 works fine, but 16:9, 16:10 and 15:9 seem to be like 9:16, 10:16 and 9:15.
This does not depend on what filter you chose. I am using WinUAE 1.6.1 Windows XP SP2 |

Aspect ratio setting: adjust Amiga's 4:3 display to selected aspect ratio display.
I still think it works exacly as designed |

It looks right to me. The intention is to correct for the monitor that you are using, assuming that 4:3 is correct for what you are displaying. A wide monitor that displays full width and height will make everything look really flattened so WinUAE squishes the display in horizantly. If you select 16:9 with a 4:3 monitor then it will make everything look tall.
I hope this makes sense, this has been the subject of much heated discussion in the recent past. |

huh?
Maybe I am to stupid but schouldn´t width and height be changed with each other in the last three settings? EDIT: Ed Cruse was faster -> AAAAH !!! Ok, yes I see your point -> I have a 16:9 monitor, that´s the problem, so its an optical illusion??? EDIT II: Forget what I have written. Now I understand what my error in reasoning was. Thanks for answering. Last edited by crusader86x; 01 July 2009 at 22:48. |
