EAB/Lemon Super League 2016: Round 2 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2016: Round 2 Game Vote - OPEN ROUND
Starts: 00:01 January 17 Finishes: 23:59 January 30

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winner of Round 1 will not get their vote doubled - instead they can choose any suitable game, with their preferred settings (if applicable), in addition to the game winning the vote for Round 2.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

This is the first Open Round of the season, meaning any game at all can be voted for as long as it is suitable for competition play.

Anyone is welcome to vote, play and chat at any time. May voting commence...

Curious to know how we would make a competition out of this.

Guys, just for your information, I recall a problem with Jim Power where we couldn't get a picture of the highscore because there's no table or any feasible way of capturing the score at the end of the game, so it's not really possible for us to play it. So if you could replace that in your votes that would be grand.

As for Cannon Fodder... this was discussed sometime ago. I think theoretically, we could score it based on the mission/phase reached and work out a system that way. Technically possible, but very long-winded to play in one sitting, and not really a lot of fun in a competition context. So I guess strictly speaking we can allow it to be voted for (I think...?), but I suppose there's a reason nobody ever does (This will need some digging up from myself to confirm this) (EDIT: Yes, we can work out a system for this if we ever need to!)

Fucking Jim Power programmer who didn't put a hi-score table on it

I think you are right about it, the game over is really very fast and I don't remeber any hi-score screen on the game.

so I change my vote.

It is possible for us to play this, in fact (scoring would involve mission/phase reached and number of recruits left), so it does count as an eligible game

We talked about Super Frog being banned forever as its been played at least 6 or 8 times, but nothing was officially put on paper to state this. I will most likely refuse to play the round if it comes up again.

We're well into the second week of voting now so just a reminder if you haven't got round to it yet. Like me

Seconded, although I wouldn't avoid the round, I'd definitely be depressed. I didn't much like it the first time we played it!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's still okay to vote for it in Open Rounds. There's always going to be new players who haven't played these games in the competition before so at some point someone will vote for them.

I haven't played Super Frog. Now that I know veterans will skip it if it's got chosen, I'll vote for it every round. Gotta be strategic.
