Anyone Still Using The Thor Email Client?
So, is anyone still using this client? Is it abandonware now? I have a
registered version and was wondering where this disappeared to. I know I can still download the program from AmiNet but that's not what I am asking here. If the authors are here, would there be a chance for updates? Thanks for reading! |

Not using it anymore, but i do remember it fondly. I spoke to one of the Thule guys some years back, when he was working on the Opera web browser. I think he said he still had his Amiga etc... If you check the old URL (www.thule.no) it will now forward you to his FB account. I guess you could always ask him directly there. |

I used Thor daily for usenet and email in the 90s. Looks like I stopped using it in 2002.
Probably a modern SSL email provider could be written. Thor was originally written for BBS messages I think (Fidonet etc) so should be flexible. |
