Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm wondering why you would want to use a 256-colour AGA screen if the graphics will use fewer colours. Wont this just slow it down and bloat it for no benefit?

A couple of weeks give or take.

Charge tests, elements using various parts of the palette, 128 colors logo, re-usability of the engine for something else, you name it.

So I assume this project is dead?

Why didn't Phantasie II get released on the Amiga anyway? Was the port botched or did it just slip through the cracks for some reason?

Phantasie II was officialy realeased for Atari ST (which was the best version) and some 8 bit computers... it was never released for PC and Amiga

If he doesn't have time to continue development, then probably someone else can continue it?

Based on his profile, it seems he last connected in the end of july:

So, he may be on holidays. Wait a bit (like until mid-September) and if he still has not replied, send him a PM.

Project isn't dead, it's just on hold (since more than a year by now, i know), i just don't have the motivation to restart it yet.

I've got some spare time now so I'll (try to) resume this project soon (just the time for me to analyze the code i wrote, as i don't recall anything).
