Brutal Sports Football ECS
I am new to the boards, so hello everyone. I have just recieved an original of this game, and I have noticed that there is no WHDLoad install for this version just the A1200 and CD32 version. Just wondering if anyone would interested in having a look at an install.

Welcome to EAB Tomead, and I second your request mate - I'd love for someone to make a WHDLoad install for the ECS version too! The AGA version has some major problems - which I've mentioned before, it seems to run like a slideshow, very jerky etc.
Anyway, let's hope someone takes up the challenge for this cool game. |

Had a few minutes to spare at work and made the WHDLoad patch for the ECS version of this game. Disk images in The Zone, patch+source attched to this post. Since I'm at work the patch is not much tested but it seems to work fine. Feel free to report any problems with the patch.

Thanks StingRay, have tried the slave and it works fine. Just checking does the slave quit on 68000, as doesnt seems to work on my A500 or A600 ?
I guess you fixed the dodgy memory detect routine, as the original always gurus on my 1Mb chip A500 when starting a game. But it worked on my other A500 which is 512K chip 512K slow fast, and both my A600 and A1200 which have 2Mb chip. Just wondering what the programmers did wrong ! |

Awesome Sting, thanks mate! I tried on my PC at work, using WinUAE, and seemed to work great!
I just tried it on my A1200 at home, seemed to have some problems - my players sort of "flash" and go invisible, on and off. Otherwise, speed, sound, game runs okay... Any ideas what I could try in case it's my end? Anyone else tested on real hardware? Anyway, I'll just use the WinUAE version for now, so thanks again mate, you really are a star! |

Dunno what's the problem to download the images from The Zone? Slave can be found here in the thread as well...
Hmm, since I didn't test it on a real Amiga yet I have no idea, I'll have a look. |

Just wondering Stingray have you had time to test the slave on a real amiga. I have tested the slave throughly on my A1200 and have no flickering sprites during the match.

Didn't have time to test the slave on my A4k yet but good to hear it works fine on your machine. =) I'll test the slave on my real Amiga once I added the 68000 quit key support.

Anyone at all have any issues with running this on a real A1200? |

Other question: why worry about that plain 68000 stuff at all?
IIRC you cannot run WHDload 16+ on plain 68000 anyway, unless I missed something essential in the discussion? |

Thanks! I stand corrected. I must have confused CPU and KS min specifications.
