Alien Breed 3D WHDload with PatchAB3D? (for mouse+keyb etc)

I'm wondering - are there any WHDload versions of Alien Breed 3D with this patch already installed?
The patch I'm talking about is the one by Peter Gordon that allows you to use the mouse and keyboard at the same time... I really can't play this game without this patch.

If this does not exist, is it easy to install the patch using a WHDload version of the game? I know very little about the Amiga OS and how to do stuff there, I never had an Amiga with a harddrive and never really did anything in WB.
So if someone could post a very detailed and easy to follow step-by-step on how to properly install this patch for the WHDload version, I would very much appreciate it!

Also - is it possible to make this game less pixellated? Does the game have an option for that?

A high-resolution patch for AB3D 1 would be cool. How difficult would that be to implement?

Never mind, I managed to install it manually, the patch worked perfectly now.

I didn't use the WHDload version. I installed workbench without any 'extras' (I normally use AmigaSYS) and simply used the installation program that comes with the game.
After installing, I just installed the patch and it worked fine.

I had to assign the floppies to the AB3D folder though.

Would really be a nice addition to have a preinstalled version of AB3D with that patch on the file server

It's in the zone now, there are probably some uncessecary files in there though as I didn't clean the folder up after copying over the patch files... but they're all so small anyway

Remember to assign the floppies to your AB3D folder before launching the patch GUI thingie or it won't work properly (ab3d1 & 2).

Np It's a pretty good shooter, finished it last night... had never played it before.
Doesn't seem to have much in common with the 2D Alien Breed games at all though other than the name and killing aliens (which look nothing like they do in the 2D ones).

Noob resurrecting old thread alert!

I have downloaded this from the server but I haven't used an Amiga in about 10 years. How do I assign the discs? I vaguely remember years ago having a program installed that wedged itself and gave me an option to assign disks but I haven't a clue what it was called or how to find it!.

Also, I'm now using Amiga Forever 2011 if this makes any difference...

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Use
Code:
assign <name of the disk>: <folder on your HD>
You can either add that to your startup-sequence (user-startup) or create a script that does it (if you place it in the same folder as the game you can use 'assign <name of the disk> ""').

Thanks for responding so quickly but...

So, I have installed it in Work:AB3D. How do I write a script? Is it just a text document? If so, what do I call it? I'd rather add the file to the folder rather than mess with my Start up. Told you I was a noob. :P

You'd have to make a textfile containing the statements for all disks, but that would mean you know how to create one, know the names of all disks and either run it from CLI or create an icon for it...
If noone beats me to it, I'll have a look tomorrow and create a launch script plus icon

There are several assign programs that pop up as an assign is needed; one that I used is AssignWedge. Look at http://amifind.platon42.de/cgi-bin/a...16384&mode=and
