APoV dead?

Many predicted its death but as it has not moved since issue 4 is it safe to say this is no more.

If so it's a shame as it was interesting.

It's not dead, it's just resting!

Admittedly, yes, it has been a long time since the last issue. We did start thinking about a fifth issue but it didn't progress very far. Also, co-editor blackcornflake hasn't been around the EAB for a couple of years.

It's also a hell of a lot of work and I end up spending a lot of time on one thing and then not having the energy for anything else. For example, the mapping of Odyssey, Deliverance and Harlequin took ages.

I'm still behind on other projects too, like aGTW and Amiga Lore.

I've been wondering about this too. I had a blast contributing reviews, and have been looking forward to getting onboard for the next issue.

I hope everything is okay with Blackcornflake.

Zero. Why not test out your own skills and bring out a new issue of your own if you want someone to take it over?

Do you have what it takes to revive it who knows. Someone should take the job on either way.

Comiga's 880 Gamer is a cool mag too but I do think it needs some rivals as it has none in the modern PDF mags era.

I agree with many of the reviews so far but Captain Planet I have to disagree with it's a decent 4 star effort once you understand what you're doing and learn the tricks of how to score big.

Simple truth is TEOL I don't have any Amiga hardware. Sure you could capture screenshots from the likes of WinUAE. I would love to create my own magazine but I am not an "old school" user. I only recently got into Amiga due to my ex father in law owning an A1200 and helping him upgrade it.

So as much as I would like to I don't have the experience....

I probably could do a "Retro Gamer" type thing but an Amiga specific I am under qualified

Don't let that put you off mate if you really want to bring the mag back first impressions game reviews is the hot thing right now with plenty of people YouTubing their First Impressions or See What It Looks Likes on video so to bring it to a magazine format would be intreging plus thats what the whole Points of View thing is all about playing a game and airing your point of view.

Not averse to the idea... Off to throw a few ideas about. Not much of a graphic designer but I may try and make a small preview issue.

Bit of an update ... I am working on a preview issue but I am not a graphic designer. Got several sections in works, just got to do reviews and main article. Hopefully by the end of the month I might have something up

Can I suggest if you make a mag, don't make it too large. I am sure people would prefer a quality issue of 16 or 32 pages max than waiting for months for a 100 page issue which is padded with old ads anyway. Plus they're easier to read on online devices that way.

I do not mind idea of simple big magazine, but shorter mag with less pages but better quality could attract more people over time. Large magazine is just like a single event-action that can be easily missed.
