A500 Samsung Keyboard repair
Hi All,
I have a Samsung keyboard currently which has a row of keys not working : ESC,~,TAB & CAPS Lock. Apart from that, Its a fully functioning keyboard. I've checked the double membrane and performed a continuity test, but can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Do any of you experts have a way I can 'override' the keyboard membrane and wire in a direct link or something? Anyone have any ideas I can employ please? I'd love to get this keyboard fully working rather than get a replacement Mistsumi. Thanks, Darren |

I have now solved this.
it was down to a dry solder joint on the keyboard controller mobo. I didnt know which one was dry, so I re-did them all and it worked. Posting this update Just incase anyone has the same issue. Hope this helps. |

Hello Torrind!
I also have a mildly dysfunctional Samsung keyboard (F7, P, :,...). So I am preparing to try and fix it (change the suspicious-looking cable first, and then check the joints) Could you share some piccies of what you did, pretty please? |
