Yes, the previous versions of AROS 68k also had WHDLoad games. AROS One ncludes new Roms and only native AROS libraries and system files.

Little OT but I couldn’t refrain myself, lol.

You’re a bit enthusiastic, mate. Yes RTG is addressed with ZZ9000 which is happening and maybe 200 of them will be delivered soon; Vampire is there too although dividing the Amiga community as to consider it as an Amiga accelerator or clone, but I never heard that Warp1260 was available for sale anywhere... did I miss something?

If I can have a workbench that looks like that NOW on my A4000 with ZZ9000 to come I want to say that you did an amazing job beyond superlatives. It is homogeneous, consistent, and complete!
In 2019 we can still show off wit an Amiga in front of friends, haha. I just want to say thank you, AROS 68k is the first thing I’ll install after my ZZ9000 will be installed. I don’t even want to bother using a Picasso4. Lol
I hope that my A3640 maybe with 060 adapter will deliver enough power to use.

Talking about graphical improvements, i don’t know if you know the skin Gellpill on PC for WinAMP or the AmberXXX skins for ClockX (still for PC) but if you were able to port them to the respective Amiga programs it would be fantastic too (just saying because you asked what users would like to see happening, lol ).

If they are "Skins Bent" (new generation) they are not supported by AmiAMP and Aplifer, if they are standard ones you can use them maybe by making some small changes. If you send me in PM the Skins I can check the compatibility.

Check the skins you sent me:

- Gel Pill -> is a skin type "Bent" not supported by Amiga Players

- AmberXXX -> the tested versions work, in some cases you just have to unpack the .wal and .wsz files (they are normal ZIP files you have to rename)

- ClockX is an old clock that I used on my WinXP, you can safely use its skins with "SkinnableClock" and "LittleClock" you just have to resize to the compatible size.

For images in PNG format no problem, almost all applications that use Skin on Amiga support the PNG image format.

In my screenshot I used the skin Amber on "AmigaAMP", Skin ClockX on "SkinnableClock" and "LittleClock" which uses one of its skins modified by me with the text AfA-OS.

You probably need a later version of WinRAR; things changed with v5.50

Does the AROS-68k.hdf work with fs-uae ?
Gave it a go with fs-uae 3 with the roms, hdf and uaegfx configured.
No boot, no error. Just grey screen. Get the Aros boot screen (the eyes) if eject the hdf.
Gave up then.

AROS 68k needs 2 new ROMs (aros-amiga-m68k-rom.bin and aros-amiga-m68k-ext.bin) that you find in the ISO-CD, path boot/amiga/

If you have eyes, it may be that you are not seeing the Hardisk/Hardfile.

Thanks. Turns out I didn't wait around long enough to see it boot. Takes about 5 mins using a 68040 uae configuration. Eventually it renders but the screen refresh rate is so poor I wasn't able to do anything. But it does indeed all work.

If you are referring to the start-up time of the operating system 5 Minutes is exaggerated, with the old Dual-Core it takes 5 seconds, You used JIT? Why don't you use 060? in AROS One 68k there are libraries and applications that require 060

If the graphics are not perfect, this is due to the fact that the video driver is still not perfect and is in the development phase.

AROS 68k is where the Amiga Community's development resources should go toward. The Licensing Hell that is AmigaOS 3.x will never end, AROS 68k is the way out of the licensing mess.

The Atari community has a Open Source OS that is fully compatible with GEM and is updated to this day, while we on Amiga are stuck in licensing limbo.

The Vampire folks also agree AROS 68k is the way forward and are helping to fund development.
