This game will be released in a style a lot closer to that of God of War, another game with enemies of the 3rd person hero both large and small.
Nope.

Shadow of the Baraka. They forgot that he supposed to be tortured slave, not war machine.

I'm not really interested, other than curiousity... I can't see how they could stay very faithful to the original in this case, without frustrating people way too much

I think Splatter House reboot had similar story. Hero and gameplay was too different to make older games happy. And what about these 2 shadows he called? I don't think wizard gave him any power to fight back. Game may not be bad but should have different title.

Looks like the Amiga will be a source for "new" games for some time to come. Kind of like Hollywood and its lack of original ideas. Let's hope this one turns out well. I liked the music, clearly referencing the original.

Exactly. 8bit computers were source for last generations of mobile phone games, so I think a time for Amiga games remakes for modern platforms has come. Unfortunatelly.

Looks very much like God of War!

Not overly impressed and I am not sure I'll be getting a PS4 now. I have just purchased a new GFX card for my PC so my gaming will go more that way

I like what i see! Shame it won't come out on pc though as it looks like a PS4 exclusive!

For anyone that says that they have changed things to much compared to the originals, well considering most people say the originals lacked gameplay, then it might be a good thing that they have incorporated new elements into the reboot.

The originals are still some of my favourite games on the amiga, the graphics and sound are amazing in them, and i'm probably one of the few that actually thought the gameplay was pretty good in them as well.

5 very important questions that must be answered before any purchase decisions can be made.

1 Does it have parallax scrolling?
2 Does it come with a T-shirt?
3 Does it have virtually no playability at all, but is so awesome musically and graphically you just want to play it as it's more like a playable piece of art than a game!!
4 Does it have a continuation function this time please??
5 Will "ten pints" help?

I think we are definitely the target market for Sony, I bet they watch our every move on here

I agree with s2325 it's not the same character at all, he was a frail slave not some all action war machine and I think they have completely misunderstood the title of the game "Shadow" of the Beast too, it isn't about his actual shadow guys!! he's not Peter Pan you know!!

Looks like they were remaking Soul Reaver to me but then changed their minds half way through to try and catch the attention of us 30/40 something's with our expendable incomes.

Saying all that, I hope it's a great modern version of the game and I love it.

but it's probably just them cashing in on the copyright

I'm happy and sad all at the same time.

I thought to myself a few years ago that the only way Beast could travel to next gen formats was a God of War inspired game type, and I was right.

I'm happy that Beast and the Amiga hasn't been forgotten by Sony, but I'm not happy its only going to be a PSN game. To put it in perspective, the Amiga original was a PREMIER AAA title back in the day, £35.99 which was a phenomenal price back then and, in inflation terms would exceed the price of ANY and all modern console AAA titles.

No matter your opinion of the game, it was a profitable franchise for Psygnosis, and I think its pretty shitty to be treating it as a PSN only game.

Also I think it didn't start off as Shadow of the Beast, I'm pretty sure it was something else and it got changed over time.

Well for one thing, at least it answers who owns the property now, Reflections must have sold the copyright to Psychosis which then carried over to Sony.
