Hmm...that's an unusually high frequency of non-TOSEC disks you have there. Where did these come from? Have you tried running some of those through the Compilations dat? You'll probably find a bunch of matches in there! And some titles like Ra might be listed under the "C" dats (Curse of RA).

i downloaded these before TOSEC appeared.... i've tested nearly all of them, with WinUAE 0808R8, there are not many dupes to my knowledge there maybe some that have slipped through the net.

I named all the files, as they appeared on the title screen of game.

All the files are single games, except Assassins and Games Galore, and couple of adfs like wizball, frostbite, barbarian (but i have reflected that in the filename)

I used to work for a company with have a T1 connection, i also had a removeable hard-drive

Hopefully he didn't do what I did early on: loading and playing ADFs that aren't read-only/write-protected. I've got tons like this that I am certain just have differently dated .INFO files or saved games, etc.

If someone could write a tool to detect differences in boot blocks, .INFO files and saved game directories, I think the Amiga renaming project would go a lot faster. Then, once it's more or less done, completists like Twistin' can spend a few years renaming the different boot blocks, .INFO dates and saved games. :laugh

i also used Agent Ransack to track which adfs i had... which made life easier....

------
note to Mods

is it okay, keep the list of adfs i have in the zone for more visiters to check through and request from, i.e. upload the file to the zone as soon as it disappears

Some games ARE already in TOSEC!

Hi,

Quote:
Hmm...that's an unusually high frequency of non-TOSEC disks you have there.
If experienced guys like Twist have high doubts about this, he mostly has a reason.

I too had my doubts, tested some stuff and found several games already in TOSEC:

1. Suspicious Cargo. The version Djay upped is already in TOSEC.
2. Hound Of Shadow: Fredo crack - already in TOSEC.
3. Lost patrol. Trained and cracked by Horizon (+t 16). TOSEC.
4. Flying Shark. TOSEC. (1e66dbfa).
5. Amazing Spiderman. TOSEC. (639a626f).
6. Zombie Apocalypse II AGA. TOSEC. (3dcc8317)

Djay, that was a good joke.
Better check your disks THOROUGHLY first. No offense.
And get the latest dat (v0.19).

NON-TOSEC are:

(*) Base Jumpers. Non-TOSEC, but another absolutely useless copy. Please do not include in TOSEC. Some guy ("Emulator Chicken") wanted to eternalize himself and placed his frigging kewl intro at the beginning. The version with the intro removed looks VERY common to me.

(*) Zombie Apocalypse II ("zombie 2 AGA.zip")

my collection was made before TOSEC came out, some may be TOSECs, some may not...

i'm not saying that my collection isn't available in TOSEC form, this is why this thread is called My ADFs.

i'm simply offering the chance for people to view my collection and request from it, wether they are available already as TOSCEs or not.

how many new members do we get that don't know TOSEC or don't even care about TOSEC, loads...

... so this is an easy way for them to get the stuff the want.

you may use this service if your are an new scener or not.

Here, here

You must conform to TOSEC, there is only the one TOSEC, you can not escape the power of TOSEC

Now now, look what you said before:

You claimed the adfs in the list to be Non-TOSEC. That simply isn't true. So just be a little bit more careful with these assertions. That's it.

I uploaded my non-tosec game list to the zone so that I can upload them if requested. AFAIK none of them are listed in latest dats. Most of them have wrong names, some of them have no names at all and some of them probably had read errors on the original disk. Apart from that, many of them have a secondary crarktro made by the guy who first downloaded it from a BBS and spread it in Turkey so that's the reason why most of them aren't recognized.

I was planning to test all of them and send some to the tosec team and post the rare ones in the burseg's rare games thread but I don't have the patience to do so.

I also single-disk some games to prevent disk swapping. Right now I have Transarctica and Pirates as a single HD ADF.

So all my adf are belong to you if you'd like

you don't have to test all your non-tosec adf's but if you would like them to be in the tosec dats simply whack em on a cd or 2 and send them off to one of the amiga renamers

let them do all the work and if there are any rare ones it will be much easier to spot them when the next amiga dats come out

when i said non-TOSEC, i mean't that the filename was not in TOSEC form.

I am not trying to con anyone, you are welcome to request anything from my list or visit emuchina etc.. if you want the filename to coinside with TOSEC...

I can't believe that you are being so rude to me, when all i wanna do is help out other people, if someone knows about TOSEC then they probably do what i do and make sure i download TOSEC stuff from a reliable source.

I like TOSEC, i think it is a great idea, it brings emulation up to a standard, which is no bad thing, but i have to say "if you want the filenames in TOSEC form, then do not request anything from my list"

if however, you are new to Amiga emulation, don't know/care about TOSEC or not that big into emulation, you'd rather just request a game and get on playing it, then request something from my list...

...I'll be happy to upload it to the zone!
