Mediator 1200 And Voodoo 3000

I am fairly new to Amiga scene, so please be gentle.
I am tryiong to get a mediator 1200 (4 Pci Slot ver) and Voodoo 3000 ppci card to work in my new 1200 tower conversion.
I have tried different systems ie. WB 3.0 with Classic WB by Bloodwynch also WB 3.1 and even OS 3.9.
But Ievery time i click on Picasso96 in my Prefs drawer it comes up with message "no modes availble" , I have installed Picasso96 ver2.0 then copied the Voodoo driver from my mediator setup disc , renamed the CyberVision54/3D to Voodoo etc etc......, but I always get the no modes message, I have even tried installing the Mediator setup disc 1st and then the Picasso96 and vice versa still the same, could there be a problem with my Medaitor board I purchased it on Amibench, but have no idea how to test if ok.
I have 2 voodoo 3000 cards anfd have tried both of these.
I have also a Blizzard 1230 with 32meg of ram installed and the mediator has the AT p8 and p9 connections from my At PSU which seems to power up system OK.

Any step by step newbie guides would be very welcome

Any help or links to a step by step Installation for Mediator and Voodoo would be a great help.
I have used the search engine and found some different probs to mine, and even using some tips i have found still get the No Modes message when I run Picasso96 from my SySrefs.

Thanks for the link mate, but I really need to set up the drivers properly, at the moment I am getting no signal to my monitor at all from the mediator and Voodoo, I am using the composite video ouput to view my workbench.
I have a Iyyama prolite TFT monitor which has video and S-video inputs so I can switch from the VGA connection and bck again while the amiga is running.

Do you have the appropriate monitor file in "SYS:devs/Monitors/" dir?

I Have the Cyber 3d Icon which I changed the name and Tool type to Voodoo as explained in the Mediator Install disk, also copied the voodoo driver file from the mediator disk to my Amiga, I seemed to have followed every step explained in the readme files on both the Mediator disc and Picasso96 ver 2.0, my mediator disc might be a fairly old one where can i get updates for this.

I am at my wits end here, Still get no signal from the Voodoo cards and Mediator board, I have tried 2 voodoo 3000 pci cards no signal.

Should there be a signal to my monitor even if I agve not installed the drivers properly, at the moment there is nothing with or witout any drivers installed.
I ahve even purchased a New MmCD with latest drivers did a automatic install, Then I also installed Picasso96 from my OS 3.9 Cd then changed the name and Tool type info from Cyber3D to Voodoo, still nothing and when I satrt Picass96 from my Prefs drawer it gives a msg "could not find any modes" and in the top menu bar where it says "Attach to" all i have is the option "No Board"
Could it be a dodgy Mediator Board, the rest the system is working ok CD rom , Hard Drive etc, I am using an AT PSU powering up the Amiga through the Mediator p8 and P9 sockets, also one last thing I have Bloodwych Classic workbench set up with Kick Roms 3.1.

Please anybody before bin this Mediator Board
