APoV Issue #1 Release
I am pleased to announce that the first issue of APoV is ready for release!
Yes, rub those disbelieving eyes. After months of work, the shiny first edition of the greatest Amiga gaming magazine called 'APoV' in history is all wrapped up. Issue #1 will become available for download on Saturday 13th December, during the IRC meet. The APoV website is going online literally as I write this - check it out for a sneaky pre-Saturday peeky - http://apov.abime.net Okay. That's my bit said. I now hand you over to the CAC-GAS-ASS Players, with their dramatic piece entitled "APoV Release Announcement In The Manner Of Gollum".* *Don't blame me. Cody and me played IRC Paper, Scissors, Stone, and he won. |

Jarrett-Gollum:
We wants it, we needs it. Must have the Precious APoV. They stole it from us. Sneaky little EAB-ers. Wicked, tricksy, false! Cody-Sméagol: No! We gives it to the people at the EAB annual meeting. Jarrett-Gollum: No, Precious. False! They will cheat you, hurt you, lie! Cody-Sméagol: They're my friends. Jarrett-Gollum: You don't have any friends. Nobody likes you. Cody-Sméagol: Not listening. Not listening. Jarrett-Gollum: You´re a liar, and a bad writer! Cody-Sméagol: No. Jarrett-Gollum: You filthy hack! Cody-Sméagol: Go away. Jarrett-Gollum: Go away?! Ahahhaa! Cody-Sméagol: I hate you, I hate you. Jarrett-Gollum: Where would you be without me? I saved us. It was me. We wrote the issue because of me! Cody-Sméagol: Not anymore. Jarrett-Gollum: What did you say? Cody-Sméagol: We don't need you. Jarrett-Gollum: What? Cody-Sméagol: Leave now and never come back. Jarrett-Gollum: No! Cody-Sméagol: Leave now and never come back! Jarrett-Gollum: Ahh! Cody-Sméagol: LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK! ... We told him to go away! And away he goes, precious. Gone, gone, gone, APoV issue one is ready! |

I think Cody should be prevented from writing anymore "comedy" routines. Cut of his hands if necessery.
I remember the long, long speech before HOL was opened......Jesus. |

Parachute Joust is a freeware game that is similar to the skydiving bit in Base Jumpers.
However, Parachute Joust was written several years before Base Jumpers. |

Can't hardly wait
I can't hardly wait reading the very first issue of APOV. What will the frequency be like? How many pages it will be?
I am curious about the article about Team 17. Will APOV only look at the Amiga releases or at the Worms-franchise (up till Worms 3D)? By coincedence, Games TM magazine also has a feature about Team 17 this month. It has founder Martyn Brown (haven't seen a pic of him for ten years, he is grey-haired and has a beard nowadays) promising the classic Team 17 Amiga games eventually will be ported to the next-gen consoles. |

As far as I am concerned there are no classic Team 17 games. Body Blows, Alien Breed, Full Contact, Worms all fell short of the mark for me.
Team 17 are famous for graphics over content and Mr Brown is a fool. |
