mos 8371 on motherboard revision 8

Hi all,
my csg fat agnus is gone, i swaped it with a spare one from my old amiga,
now the screen is showing a black sreen with flickery green stripe instead of the white usual screen! anything i can do to arrange it?

What was the model number of the Agnus that used to be on the board?

The 8371 Agnus will NOT work in a Rev. 8 Board! You MUST replace it with a 8375 390544-01 one!
Even a 8372a will NOT work in a Rev. 8 Board.
Reason: different pinout of the 2 MB Agnus in the Rev. 8 Board.

Does an chip from an amiga 500 + would work?

Yes, as you can see per the silkscreen writing on the Board, the Revision 8 is actually the A500+ mainboard.
As long as the Agnus has the above written part number 390544-01, it will work in any Rev.8a and Rev.8a.1 boards.
