Hooooo New member, Thought i would say hi

Sorry, after months of that Skyrizi advert being on the telly I thought it might be funny to say that as an introduction

(I have no such thing. No psoriasis)

My name is Chad.... I'm sort of a geezer. Speaking of whom (mcgeezer) I just finished watching a few of his YouTube series which were amazing and well done. I now walk around the house proudly saying "ProPacker!"

Anyway... like many of you I have always wanted to create games. Since I was about 13 years old. And I have done. A few. Never on the Amiga, though.

I just finished a game for the C64 called "Exod"... it's sort of an homage to Zork and the Infocom games. All done in 6502/6510 assembler. Planning on doing a box for the artwork and the whole nine yards.

Will probably start an arcade conversion or even a conversion of our unreleased XBOX (360) game made in XNA4 for our Senior (University) project at the U of Utah. It might be fun to convert our platformer "Glimpse of Evil" to the Amiga.

Just thought I'd make a shout and say hello.

Thanks
Chad.

Well, since I DO have mild psoriasis, I don't think your thread title is funny. At all.

Was not sure where you're going with title... just like Oxygene, have psoriasis and it is life changing issue that can be genetically passed....

Would like to check that C64 game.

Hi and welcome. Most of us non US residents will not get your title joke as we do not receive adverts from pharma companies on TV. It is illegal to advertise prescription meds to the public.

Sorry about the thread title... was meant as a joke. We're constantly inundated with these adverts and I've been programmed with that phrase.

At any rate, thought I'd attach a screenshot of the game I'm thinking of porting to the Amiga from my Senior project at University.

Hope things go better from here

I have psioriasis as a result of severe immune dysfunction. I thought you were being serious, but alas not. You apologized - accepted - but believe me, it isn't a laughing matter.

Well, I came here to have fun. I also apologized for the intro. If a few folks are going to continue to assume the worst, fine.

I'll probably share share something eventually in terms my game "Exod" (whether it's just the packaging I'm doing for it or some screenshots). Thank you to those who indicated interest. Now back to mostly lurking.

No offense should be taken where none is given, lighten up a bit.

There was no need to apologize.

Seeing as you insists on exploring this already-closed subject, let me ask you something: do you have psoriasis?

If you did, it wouldn't make it okay to tell somebody who has it to "lighten up", but it would make you a bit less of a jerk. You're welcome.

(Please note that I didn't take an issue with the OP itself. Anybody can make a blunder, and it was all resolved amicably. But when somebody is wading in later on and insisting it's not a problem, while not actually having a clue about the subject matter, that's really pushing it).
