Subwar 2050 Aga
Does any "official" WHDload install for Subwar 2050 exist ..?
I'm currently playing the WHDfied Cd32 version of Subwar 2050 and I'm very dissappointed because of the lack of Save game possibility (?!). Overall, the install seems to work. Would it be possible to include the Save game feature to the current CD32 version of Subwar ? Additionally, there were some rumours of the possibly existing Ocs version of Subwar before... (?!) |

try AGA version
for CD32 you must have nonvolatile.library in game data folder. |

I can' t run the Aga version of Subwar 2050 without disabling cpu caches..
And I want to play the CD32 version because of pad support. And " cool" animations. ? I looked for the game data folder for possible game saving related files, and think I found it at Prefs folder : Env/ NV_Location : (Path of NV_ Save default folder !?). That path was SYS: nvsave by default. So I think maybe I need ( an empty ?) a spesific file in CD32 combatible format ??! I remember playing UFO CD32 version; that had a small ( about 90 kb..?) file called nvram or something like that to be used as a save file " slot". And that worked. So, IMHO it shouldn' t be too difficult to get the game saving part of Subwar 2050 CD32 version working.. ? Ps. Yes, I do have lowlevel.library and Nonvolatile.library in my SYS:Libs folder; of course ! Last edited by macce2; 04 March 2022 at 15:27. |

The Game data folder includes a subfolder called Prefs. That folder contains it (?!). The problem is; I didn't find any nvram / save file after playing the game and completing the training mission(-s). I thought the game would auto-save the pilot created..!? What i think Does work with the Aga version, but not Cd32 v. |

Do You have nonvolatile.library in data folder? It don't work from system libs folder because WHDLoad virtually cut off system, that's why it's needed in data folder.

Oh, I didn't notice that the needed libraries were already there.
When launching the game, there is message: "Save blocks available: 0" or something like that. So, the problem is still there. Should the nvram_location file be modified ..?! |
