Is the purpose of this list to list games that *require* a specific save game disk (e.g. Cannon Fodder), or just are capable of using one? Frontier for example can save to any mounted volume, be it the game disk, another floppy disk or the hard drive. It doesn't require a dedicated save game disk. And many hard drive installable games like Settlers, Theme Park, A-Train and so on are similar - saving doesn't necessarily have to be to a dedicated floppy.

If I understand it correctly it is about if the game requires you to have/prepare a seperate disk when played from floppies.

Fair enough. In that case, Frontier should be removed as that legs you choose any location for a save file (including the game disk), and even defaults to the game disk.

atm i'm testing Soccer Kid OCS (full RAM thread), and it also use a savedisk but in a particular way;
every couple of finished levels (sometime 2, sometime 3), the game ask if you want to save your position

the manual adds that in each savedisk is possible only one save

the bizarre thing, i have tried with some cracked releases and it didn't work
i'll try with the original or some other cracks

EDIT ok reached to save with another trained crack, to fasten reach the first save point;
confirmed savedisk possibility, standard blank disk used

Thanks for the info. The intent is to identify dedicated save disks for use with Gotek drive rather than HD or WHDLoad. Nostalgia is a strange thing indeed.

You can add Kick Off 2 to the list. It used the data disks Giants of Europe and Winning Tactics.

Dungeon Master was already mentioned but Chaos Strikes Back wasn't.

And if I remember correctly, The Clue also needs a prepared save disk with certain files on it, but it's been a while since I played the disk version. I believe it comes with an installer script to create that disk.

HeroQuest needs a save disk if you want to save the characters, probably custom format, which you can format from in-game option.
