How do I create a save disk…
The game "It Came From the Desert" requires a disk named "DSAVE" to be in the drive in order to save the game. I have checked "Include Save Disk" in loading the game .adf files but this does not allow me to save the game. What should I do. Thank you!

Hmmm... I guess you could try to make a ADF that simulates an Amiga blank disk called DSave... but I'm switched if I know how to do that, exactly. Or indeed, make your Amiga (emulator? presumably) take note of it.

You may try using save state instead of save disk.

Well if the blank disk need to be called DSave then launch a Workbench, format or rename a new disk, and enter "DSave" as Name of the Disk.
The Icon of the disk would then have "DSave" name, like Workbench which has "Workbench 1.3" as name. |

Just create a standard disk .adf and label as DSAVE. Works for me!

on a windows box i still can recommend AdfView - once installed, you can create from windows context menu
(windows explorer on desktop) - new -> Amiga Disk File. additionaly you can browse the standard amiga dos disk content, like an archive, deleting, adding files. |

As has been mentioned already, you need an .adf disk image which has been formatted (for AmigaOS) with the volume name DSAVE. This can be done for example via Workbench.
I've created a formatted .adf file for you which should work: https://openretro.org/file/047805e3d...edfa/DSAVE.adf |
