atari falcon DSP programmer help?

Hello to all!

I happen to be looking for help from people that have been implied in atari falcon programming (particularly DSP code) in order to help us with our ordeal at atariage:

We would very much like assistance in bypassing the very nasty protection system of a game called "crown of creation" in order for it to be dumped and playable through disk files (before the originals fail) on emulators like hatari...

Might anyone be interested in helping to preserve the legacy of the falcon?

How does the copy protection work? is it disk based?

yes it is! seems copies of originals and previous imaging techniques didn't cut it! the program asks for the original disks to be inserted...

Are all the files on the disks visible, or is it a custom loading format?

I'm not sure, I'd have to take that up with macfalcon at the atari-forum boards.

It's a normal filesystem. The problem is it's a combined 030 + DSP56k protection, i.e if you remove the first one (manual word check), everything seems to be fine and then, out of nowhere, the game reboots for example because some checksum doesn't match in DSP.

Hatari (an emulator) can run this game, contains both 030 and DSP debuggers, but it's not an easy task.

Sounds interesting enough to finally use the Falcon I bought years ago for the first time. I'd like to have a copy of the game too to have a look.

Well it seems that macfalcon has had a few problems with jaymsa in order to image the disks: seems disk 3 is turning up an error (may have to do with the protection system!
However, a preinstalled version along with manual and cover scans is coming!
