I too am unable to register at Amibay, receiving the same registration-denied message about the database. I have tried several times, deleting the cookies between attempts and using different browsers, but all without success.

Could someone please help? I would appreciate it.

The main Dev has said he will attempt to remove the spam database filter.

So I'd suggest you try again tomorrow night

I'm having difficulty signing up with Amibay. I was hoping to get on there a few weeks ago when I was looking for my A1200, I ended up getting one on Gumtree. I am now in the market for an 060 accelerator card, but don't know where else to buy one, other than scouring ebay. It seems the registration problem is at their end as their registration check is not working, it's been like that for weeks, so basically nobody can register any more. This is the message it puts up..

"Registration denied. We check new registrations against a database of known forum spammers. At this time, we are unable to contact this database to verify your registration. We are sorry for the inconvenience but please do try again later."

I have emailed admin about this, initially I got a reply saying it was my fault because I used a gmail account so I used my domain email and it gave the same response, I have emailed a couple of times since pointing out the problem is with their database is not responding, but my emails have been ignored. I have been polite in my emails, I'm not a bad person and have no intent on spamming or breaking forum rules. This is my first registration, so I don't know how I'm ever going to gain access to the site. Maybe someone else could try to register and see if it they get the same rejection message.

Does anyone know of an alternative amiga sales website, other than ebay? I'm desparate to look for an 060 accelerator.

Not all registrations are failing as we are getting numerous new signups.

I will admit that we are having major problems with the spam database check though.

You won't be able to register if you are using a VPN.

Can you use a different domain Email address?

Don't try to register with another name or the system will auto ban you.

Drop me a PM with details of the forum name you are trying to use.
