Lure of the Tempress WHDLoad
I wondor if anybody has a WHD installed version of "Lure of Tempress". The only one i have been able to find is a JST installed one and yet there is a WHDLoad install for it. Also the JST and WHDLoad versions must rip the data differently because you can't simply copy the data files over to use WHDLoad.
The version on the BTTR website though claiming to be a WHDLoad version is in fact the JST version. Hope you can help! |

Have you tried changing the Icon tool to use WHDLoad instead of JST? That *might* work. Apart from that I only have a german WHDLoad version.
Whats wrong with the JST version anyway? |

Yep tried that! WHDLoad just exits and prints "(Object Not Found) on Loading WHDLoad.Slave" in a dialogue box!
The JST version is a bit flaky during the intro sequence, and i have to turn of my MMU to run it. The the WHDload installer is from the author of the JST version, however it is two versions newer with the faults mentioned sorted out. Also i am more comfortable with WHDload and it seems more stable. I have also registered the program and soley wish to use it for all my HD games since JST is no longer suuported! Many thanks for the tip! Last edited by paul_r_t; 18 May 2003 at 01:03. |

First disk image is too short. You can see intro till the end. see www.whdload.de for more details.

Yeah, I see. I used the images from a 1.2 version of the install.
I can rip new images from my original in a couple of weeks. I'll also have a look for some updated images... |

You don't need this. Look at JOTD www page.

Thanks Cody and Haynor, i had convinced myself it was my Amiga setup causing the problem! It works perfectly now, though you could still play it with the other 'Disk.1' if you skipped the intro! It's nice however to have a non corrupted version!
