Best Amiga Box Design?
Following on from that thread coving the issue of Game boxes getting worse, what were the crème de la crème of Amiga Box designs?
From my unbiased point of view the best overall design belongs to Bloodwych Now who wouldn't want to pick up and buy a box looking as sexy as this? What a work of art! Leonardo Da Vinci could only dream about reaching standards this high! I don't know about you guys, but that horny beast just does it for me everytime. :hooooo Last edited by Bloodwych; 06 April 2002 at 16:31. |

A definite style, look here: Roger Deans Site Rck: Need to check about pic sizes on EAB. The one above is 63K. Is there a certain size pic we should be sticking to in our posts? Thought I'd better check. Last edited by Bloodwych; 06 April 2002 at 22:16. |

I must admit...the Roger Dean coverart probably tops my list as well. Thanks for the groovy link to the Roger Dean site. Been a fan of his since all those Yes albums. Now I will think it over and figure out which game box of his will be my fav...

The box artwork for Gods/Speedball2 and Cadaver the payoff were all created by Simon 'Biz' Bisley. An amazing artist.
Ive seen some of his Batman comic art aswell and its brilliant Check it out http://www.galeon.com/bisleypics/ |

I don't know about box designs. Actually I haven't seen a boxed Amiga game ever. What a shame.
And Dastardly, I can't believe that horrible page was done by an artist. :eek |

But what about the artwork? That was the point of the link.

If you are asking my opinion, I think the artwork has very high quality but it is surprisingly in contrast with the layout of the site.

Maybe Simon Bisley had nothing to do with the creation of the site. The point of the link was to show some other artwork of someone who produced some great Amiga game box covers.

Roger Dean and now Simon 'Biz' Bisley.
This could turn out to be an interesting thread - Some amiga games boxes really were fantastic works of art and it's interesting to find out the artists behind these visual treats. Burseg, it's a shame you don't have any boxes - some of them deserve a gallery to themselves and really increase exclusive feel of a particular title! Dastardly - G-Force - Battle of the Planets Do you take orders from our other EAB member 7-Zark-7? |
