file type and conversion

Hello there forum chummies

in my endevours to make hardware for the amiga, I have found some reference material from aminet, however there is a slight problem. I donot know what file format these documents are in, let alone where to begin to convert them.

I am assuming that these are for use on a native miggy but with what I dont know.

the file extentions (not that it makes much difference on the miggy) are:-

".HOL" and ".LAY"

any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

.LAY (though not very helpful)

Don't know if the file is on aminet, but searching for the file name comes up with this link: http://www.programmersheaven.com/dow...pfilelist.aspx In the docs is written that it's in BoardMaster format. There's a Board Master 1.20 (Black Belt Systems) in TOSEC, that could be the one (not tested though). I could upload it this evening unless someone else does it before

Thanks for the linkies

@Thor
That would be awsome thor! I had a theory they were to do with some PCB program on the miggy.

Ok, file uploaded (don't have access to my TOSEC set, but downloaded it from pleasuredome). Tried it, it works. The files you have are not complete. The real names are 8meg_pcb.layer1, 8meg_pcb.layer2 and 8meg_pcb.hole. So if you have only 8meg_pcb.lay you are probably missing one layer. You can get the correctly named and complete files here: http://aminet.net/package/docs/hard/a1000hacks

Excelent thor!

I think the first "memory addon" based design will be called a "THOR" board, you have indeed been a great help!!!!

I have some plans to make a very simple 16mhz cpu upgrade... I will name this the Musashi5150 Flyer

and then I will combine the two to make an accelerated (16mhz) 68000 + 8MB Ram board not sure of the name yet LOL...

but sincerely... awesome... thanks very much for your help guys
