Mounting dd disk images under Linux
I've made a backup disk image with the dd command (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS) of a CF card I was prepping (FFS file system) for a real hardware A1200. Now my question would be if there is a way to mount this disk image directly back into FS-UAE to continue using it as an emulated system as well.

Just add it as a hardfile, given FS-UAE has such an option (WinUAE has).

Yeah well, thanks for making me feel stupid It worked as you said and I was able to just mount and boot the dd image by selecting it. Thanks a bunch for the help!

if your hard file is FFS (not DOS\6 or DOS\7) you can also mount it on the linux side as:
Code:
sudo mount -t affs {PATH_TO_HARDFILE}/{HARDFILE} {MOUNTPOINT} |
