[Found: Battle of the Solar System] Space Shooter, Mouse, Horizontal...
1. Possible name of game
It is quite probable the name was short, but I completely don't remember. 2. Game genre (General) Space Shooter 3. Game genre (Specific) Nothing more specific 4. Viewpoint From the side 5. General dates Before 2000 for sure. Played it quite probably around 1998/1999 6. Commercial status I am pretty sure we had it either from Aminet (Quite not probable) or some, if I recall correctly, German (Back then I was like 8 or 9 years old, so my linguistic skills were pretty low) Game CD (Quite probable) from unknown Magazine. Either way, I think it was Shareware 7. Other specific info Now here I can write a lot. The thing I remember most was that you could play on either Mouse, Joystick and (I am not sure) Keyboard. When playing by mouse, you were able to fly "through" enemies barrage, if you moved the mouse fast enough. It was more or less a classic space shooter, quite difficult. I think there was HP (you could take 3 or 2 hits before dying). At the end of every level there was a boss. Every few levels there was some image-based animation, with people talking (I am not sure but I think either there was voice, or there happened to be a voice in the game from time to time), on their spaceship. The graphics wasn't anything special. Quite probably not 3D. There was a 2 Player mode. The game kinda resembled current Japanese shooters - there were situations that there was a Mecha hovering near the right side of the screen and shooting at you while moving up-down only. In this game you constantly flied right. I am pretty sure despite saying it was space shooter, it often seemed I was flying near the surface of the planet (mountains, stones and stuff in the background) I know this isn't much info, but I really can't remember anything else ^^;. You're welcome
I like that game but I find it incredibly difficult (might just be me being rubbish though)... |
