Ok. What version of IGame have you got? Also make a picture of the igame folder in yr system with show all files and post it. You should have a file called repos.prefs in there and another one called gamelist.

The latest igame version is Version 2.0 and it is on aminet. Did you use the installer to make the installation?

Cracked it. Ran SnoopDOS to see what was going on (should have done this earlier) and could see it was trying to load a 'genres' file from within the iGame directory which didn't exist. I went back and looked at the original archive and sure enough there was a genres text file in there with a bunch of genres listed in it.

Copied it across, restarted and immediately I could see all the genres listed in the bottom right section of the iGame window. There was nothing there previously. I could also now select genres for each game in my collection.

But more than that - I no longer need to rescan every time I launch iGame and it is now tracking the number of times played for me too! Seems that one file is pretty important!

I installed iGame (v2.0 off Aminet) using the installer so no idea why it didn't include the genres file but just glad it's now sorted. I've included a pic of my iGame directory in case it helps anyone else in future. Thanks for the assist!
