Amiga Game Development Contest - Judgment Day
5 playable games were finally submitted as entries for the contest (not all are fully finished).
Now it's time for us judges to playtest them and then come together to give our votes. Here are the five games ready for download: UPDATE: The judges will send their votes (a score between 1-10) for every game and their impressions via e-mail to the other judges by March 31st 23:59. The winners will be publicly announced on April 14th 23:59 incl. reviews for each game. Last edited by john4p; 04 March 2019 at 10:08. |

I'm testing a bug fix for a compatibility issue and updating the archive at amigageek.com.
If you'd like to judge the deadline version of ModSurfer instead please use this link: http://amigageek.com/modsurfer/modsurfer1.0.lha |

Indeed I've also fixed some bugs to do with the controls in Rygar on real Amiga's (some Amiga's worked, some didn't when pressing the Jump button).
If you want to evaluate the new version then it is here. http://www.siesmicminds.com/downloads/RygarEAB0B.adf Happy to have the original evaluated if the rules apply. Geezer |

Maybe we need a ruling on bug fixed versions as I have left my game alone so as not to confuse matters but happy to upload a bug fixed version if that's acceptable?

I suppose if we all have a few bugs that maybe stop the enjoyment of our games then there is no harm in it - if so then we just need an acceptable bug fixing deadline i.e. Monday?

How about a bug fixing deadline of August 2019 then? I can submit mine by then I'm sure.

Well there's a playable demo of a blob moving around an infinitely scrolling background but that's as far as I got. Feel free to judge it but I can't see it winning anything except scorn!
My experiments in Blitz2 for XILEF turned into "Father Christmas versus Dinosaurs" which I released at Christmas. I didn't get any further with XILEF though as I realised I'd written bollocks and would have to start again. I'll keep plodding on with it in my spare time but spare time is very limited! |

Hence, I ended up not completing it for now. I might look into actually using C and rewriting it from scratch one day, however. |
