second partition icon

Hello everybody,

I've installed classicwb gaae on my A600 and classicwb full on my A1200. I always use 2 partitions; 1 for system and the 2nd for storage (games,demos etc). Why does the first partition have always a nice harddisk icon, and the 2nd partition just an ugly floppy-like icon?

thanks in advance, and sorry for my english

For the GAAE version - as Thomas said.

For the FULL - if you'd named your second partition DH1:, Scalos would have automatically given it an icon without the need for a disk.info.

Also, watch the tutorial vid for how to change the built in assigns for your second partition:

http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/tutorials.htm

This is going to be much easier in the next release - only requires one text file to be edited rather than the multiple ones in the current version.

Hello, thank you very very much for the replies

It was pretty simple after all..

@Bloodwych
The device name is DH1 but the volume name is 'Storage'. Maybe this was the problem.
Also, I've already watched the tutorial and it helped a lot to setup my games repository

Strange, the FULL version is setup to provide default icons for DH0:, DH1:, DH2:, DH3: etc. I add extra partitions all the time and it automatically gives them an icon.

Have a look in the "Expansion/Scalos/Icons" drawer for all the default icons. For instance, you can add a Windows directory in WinUAE and as long as its device name is PC: it will be given a nice Windows disk icon.

It shouldn't matter what its formatted name is on the Workbench, as long as the partition's device name is DH1:

And I'll just add, those default icons can be seen in the video posted above. The partitions have no disk.info, just Scalos default icons assigned to DH0:, DH1: and PC: automatically. Doesn't matter though, as a disk.info will work just as well.
