IPF DECODER LIBRARY released
http://www.kryoflux.com/download/ipfdec_source4.2.zip
It's taken long, and we really appreciate your patience. We have chosen to use a modified MAME licence first. We really encourage you to ask us if you feel you need the source licensed under a different licence. The release currently has two forks, one for the main release and the other for the ports. A later release might merge both, but we felt it was more important to get it released instead of further polishing it. Enjoy. If you like it, please consider donating. Thanks! |

Reupped the archive this afternoon, seems it broke while doing so. Reupped again and all should be fine again.

There is a source, but n o documentation. The source in itself can't be used in any other project, due to lack of documentation.
Why do you claim to be open when in fact you're not? Jens |

Once you've looked into that code, you'll realize that you get data "as if it's coming from the disk drive". That's only half the IPF information. I'd need at least one more information, and that's "where does the track start" (that's not necessarily at the index pulse).
Another thing is that IPF data contains the info "there are weak bits on the track". I'd have to take the data and read it multiple times from the IPF decoder in order to compare the sets of data. Why isnt there some bit in a data structure that says "stable or weak track"? The info is there, just pass it on. Jens |
