Miami and FastEthernet Device
Hi,
I've installed a FastEthernet device on my Mediator 1200 and it is seen via MiamiDX and I am able to sucessfully query it. The problem I am having that after I've setup the hardware and then the TCP/IP stack to my LAN, I cannot ping the Amiga from my PC although Miami says I am online. From a networking point of view, I am new to the Amgia way of doing things. Is there an obvious point that I maybe missing? Thanks. |

1) are the cables known to be good? 2) what ip settings on the PC and Amiga sides? (ip, netmask, gateway) |

Hi mate,
One thing I overlooked when setting up my LAN was the Gateway IP in Miami. I can't remember offhand which screen it was at, but because I had priority on '0', several settings were ghosted out. So initially I assumed Miami would automatically find it. Setting priority to '1' or higher allowed me to enter it manually (192.168.1.1). Hope that helps. |
