Unable to access early startup menu

Hey Toni!

I hardly ever am able to access the early startup menu.
SOmetimes when I click both mouse buttons, i am thrown back to Windows (switches focus), sometimes it does nothing, hardly ever it shows up.

Why does this happen?

are you on a laptop?

EDIT:

The reason I ask is because, on my laptop, if you hit left mouse button and right mouse button together it treats it as middle mouse button, which in WinUAE would cause it to lose focus.

That was it!

Unfortunately, it won't work at all with my trackpad. Even when I say that clicking both should do nothing, it's not working, and there's no option that says "if I press L and R at the same time is as pressing L and R at the same time" :P

So I guess I am stuck to use an external mouse. MAybe I can use the button mapping?

Thought it might be...

I thought I remember an option in WinUAE to trigger the early start menu a good while back...

Don't have WinUAE in front of me though to check.
