CDTV ROM header..what is it for?
Hello all. I was fitting a TF536 to the CDTV today, and found it was fouling on a two pin header marked ‘ROM’. Nothing is plugged in to it, and cant see any bodge wires to it either. The only thing I have seen this area/pads used is on the Amiga history site (name has escaped me) and it showed the prototype with two wires from those pads going to the display driver IC PCB
I am all set for snipping the header off so I can fit the card, but before I do, why is it there? I have had the CDTV over 15 years and no idea of its history. The header is under the clock oscillator by Oki, just above a resister array (?) next to the VFD driver IC. I know Commodore modded boards after spinning the boards so we are likely to have a real mixed bag out there! Thanks M |

I think it's just a header giving 5V and GND for some reason, not needed if you're not going to use it
