cybervision 64 and Picasso 96
I recently installed a Cybervision 64 and the P96 software in my A4000. When I've gone to select the new Screenmode none of the new modes are available. Also after restarting the A4000 the monitor only displays a black screen. I had to pull the card out to get a working display again. What have I done wrong.

Did you set the new modes up with P96Mode?

Let me add that the black screen was on the output from the Cybervision card and the standard Amiga video output. The only way to get a visible output back was to remove the card.
I'm certain that I've tried the out zorro slots but I will do again. I'll also search for the cybergraphx 4 drivers and try them out. I haven't been able to try setting up the modes because when the card is installed there is no video output. With the card removed the mode software doesn't see the card so that doesn't work. thanks |

Success.
I don't know which did it, cleaning the card and the connectors or changing the Zorro connector but the card is working now. I'm going to have to have a good close look at the Picasso96Mode manual so I can understand what I need to do to set up my monitor but at the moment I've got a working mode so I'm happy. The monitor is a CHIMEI CMV 938D in case anyone else is using one and has several working modes they wish to share. |

Told ya!
![]() My recently sold Cybervision 64/3D wasn't playing ball so I just switched it to another Zorro-slot and voila! |

CyberGraphX 4.0 is a much nicer experience on these cards imo.

I've got another A4000 which is currently getting recapped, once that comes back I'll be looking for another Cybervision 64 card. If I can get one I'll try the CyberGraphx v3 RTG on that one. I'm not prepared to pay 40 odd dollars for what is essentially a upgrade.

Don't be a wuss, CGX4 definitely recommended! It sweeps the floor with CGX3

I'll look but I'm sure they're rarer than the proverbial rocking horse sh1t.
