I have ports open in windows firewall. I have forward that port to my PC in the router.

FTP's can be a pain to get right. Mine works only with certain clients.
Although they all connect, it will either give blank window or give error.
Switching to passive would let other clients work then ones that did work stop working.

My favorite one was virginmedia's new all singing all dancing super hub (never had any problems, awesome bit of kit). It had a bug that blocked FTP access, solution was to turn it into a normal modem (defeats the object really).

Good for you DDNI, used to love my FTP back when I had asdl with 30 kbs upload, now I have 5 mbit uploads I cannot be arsed..... go figure.

I think with about 2TB of stuff it might blow peoples minds anyway lol, they wouldn't know where to start.

I used to be the same, I had a Dreamcast FTP with a 20kbps upload and people used it with no complaints, these days I have 20mbit, I really should set it back up again!

I used to have a small ftp server running on BeOS and 256k DSL. I still have the machine somewhere in the loft, might dig it out and fire it up again. Was guaranteed virus free!
