CD32 missing red colour

Hi,

I have a CD32 missing red colour from the composite signal and I am getting no svideo signal (as far as I can tell through the svideo to hdmi converter I am using).

I have reflowed the U12 chip and replaced the caps around the svideo port but not sure where to go next. I am hoping to send it for a full recap, just waiting to hear back from someone, but if anyone has any ideas if its a simple fix or where to look for the culprit it might be worth me taking a look.

Thanks

Check C211A, I had the same issue on an A1200 and it was the equivalent cap on that board that had failed.

As MrCLump said, check C211A that provides the R signal to the encoder chip.
As for no S-Video, it's possible line filter Z221 has failed. They tend to go bad if their has been a leaky cap in the area.
If you can get your hands on a CXA2075 it can replace the CXA1145 and remove the need for the line filters.

As said in the previous post change the CXA1145M for the CXA2075M as they fail regularly , you need to do a little mod but it is easy, I have a couple of CXA2075M chips so if you neeed one contact me.

the details on how to fit the CXA2075 below
