Request for any gems
Hello there my fellow Amigos,
Finally after months and months of hard work (spanning years as real life got in the away) I've virtually completed setting up / configuring WinUAE to include: ... All the games that I had as a young man on my expanded Amiga 500. ... All the games that I had heard of / read about at the time but wasn't able to acquire. ... From flicking through HOL / Lemon screenshots, games that I liked the look of. ... From being on EAB, people's comments / information etc. Now the question for all my knowledgeable friends on EAB is as follows... I think I've added all the games / gems that represent the Amiga. Is there anything not on the attached list that should be? If so let me know here and I'll check 'em out / possibly add Note: Don't worry about listing anything that requires HD install (as I only use .ADFs / IPFs). Also don't worry about CD32 / CDTV games as I have virtually all games already. Note 2: I still need to add some more unreleased games; just need to work exactly what, the status i.e. full game / playable demo, and also where the get the most up-to-date file from. Will probably create another thread for this. Muchas gracias |

You don't have Wicked on your list...
It's been a favourite of mine since I borrowed it from my local library many moons ago. It may seem a bit confusing at first but it's fairly simple to play, I enjoy it and it's got a great atmosphere with some wonderfully eeries tunes from Richard Joseph. A much overlooked game in my opinion. |

The list is invalid until Burton Bird is missing.

I'd recommend Vektor Storm, a Tempest-style game we played in the Super League recently. It's a little gem of a shooter, and a lot more action-packed and challenging than it might initially look.
Another favourite of mine is Projectyle. If you take Speedball, add a third player and an obvious air hockey influence you might get some idea of what to expect. It's fun in short bursts against the computer (although it might wear a little thin) but it's a riot with two or preferably three people involved. |

This exactly why I thought I'd pose the question; an no better audience to answer that EAB I'm flying away to Madeira very early Monday morning for a week so no computer but will start looking at all your suggestions when I'm back. |

Coolio
Thanks Prowler; will definitely check out tomorrow when I'm not so tipsy Tonight I at least downloaded the archive you linked to; very silly question (and I already know the answer really given what you've specified above)... Use the file "debugged.adf" hey? Also, don't see this listed on HOL! Why not? |

Between you and me Prowler I'm a bit disappointed with Belgo...
I mean he is the "GameBase Amiga" guru and all he has offered is 1 lousy suggestion... Bit poor really considering the extend of his knowledge ...to me it seems that he couldn't even be bothered to analyse my list. Too much work or something |

The config I used to get Damage working and which still works is kick 2.05 1mb chip 1mb fast, full ecs but a 68020 cpu. No idea why I used that config but hey it works!
Oh and even though it says put disk 2 in any drive I've got it set to just use df0: Damage was one of the earliest games I added so don't ask me the reasoning behind any of the config. As for other game suggestions...I'd have to actually have time to play games to be able to suggest any more... |
