I am really interested in giving this a go but I'm not to sure what to do with the distro to get it working under WinUAE, is there a guide for peeps like me who sort of know the basics of emulation and how to create HDF's but that's about it?.
Hope someone can help.

WinUAE

I should create a beginner tutorial...

download and unpack my distribution somewhere (Folder "System" created)

Download and install Winuae:
http://www.winuae.net/

then start it, create a new entry.

this are the most important prefs:
68020, JIT (with FPU enabled), FPU 68881, RAM: Chip 8 MB, Slow 1,5 MB, Z3 Fast 512 MB, 32-bit Chip 512 MB, Expansion bsdsocket.library / uaescsi.device, Display Native + RTG Full-Window

Additionally you must select the Rom on the Tab Rom

Alternatively I have a WinUAE-Configfile on the download-page where you only have to select the correct paths

Thanks for the reply Olaf I agree there needs to be a beginners guide to getting this working, for instance when you say unpack to system does this mean a system already running under UAE? I did create a workbench 3.1 and tried from there but without luck. I don't class myself as being useless at this kind of thing and more often than not can pick it up if given a bit of guidence. Any help would be great.

Hi - I can get Aros Vision to run but can't get it to open on anything other than a 640x480 screen/window. Going to screen mode prefs does nothing. Looks good though. Any help would be much appreciated.

What happens when you select another screen mode and press the "Use" button?

It just blanks teh screen like it is changing screen mode and then comes back exactly the same.

Strange... On most systems are no problems (at least no that are reported to me). When you change screenmode it should be shown (after rebooting). What do you use? WinUAE? and on which platform?

Screenmode and possibly other MUI based preferences programs require more stack than default size. (But usually it causes crash when pressing Use or Save)

Open shell, type "stack 60000" and then run prefs/screenmode.

This is known problem, will be fixed someday..

I have made a small update to 1.5.1. because I have a working version of Netsurf 68k (2.6 or 2.7, 2.8 and 2.9 not working at the moment)

A screenshot showing Netsurf "in action":
http://www.natami-news.de/Aros/Screenshot.png

All improvements:

Added:
Netsurf 68k (thank you Wawa)

Updated:
Wazp3D (Warp3D)
newest Roms (14.7.)
new Shortcuts (ALT I for Netsurf)

Full Download:
http://www.natami-news.de/html/distr..._download.html

Only Netsurf 68k:
http://www.natami-news.de/Aros/Netsurf.zip

When integrating it yourself: it needs stacksize 500000 and can only be started from CLI (not by clicking on icon)

Extended compatiblity page (Games and Applications):
