WinUAE causing my system to freeze

Since Updating to Windows 11 on my Surface Laptop I do have an issue with WinUAE. When starting the emulation the emulator shows 0 FPS. The whole screen freezes. If there's an animation in another app it will stop. Sometimes the computer works again normaly for a second or so (including UAE). Then it freezes again.

It happens more often on battery power. In case WinUAE works fine once it works fine till the last reboot.

Any help highly appreciated. This just makes me realize that WinUAE is probably the most essential application for me :-)

Like often. As soon as I decide to Post I find a solution. Switching to GDI from Direct3D seems to help.

These kinds of problem usually mean driver problems.

GDI is a backwards compatibility feature only, it isn't very optiomal.

Does D3D11 mode work? (if you had D3D9 as default). Does same happen in windowed mode? Does anything weird appear in log? (run winuae with -log command line parameter to see log window)
